UX != UI

UI & UX seems to be a real misconception in the field of computer and technology. In many a cases, we tend to use these terms interchangeably not realizing the underlying concept. The confusion may simply stem up due to overlap of skill-sets involved in both the disciplines or may be because both of them relates to user. UX  - is designing the flow and means for catering products/services to the customers UI  - is designing a platform for customers to experience the UX designed for them UI designers tend to focus more on the creative side, branding, and visual appeal. UX designers focus on site architecture, page layout, focus and actionable items for each page — including the availability of other resources and content, whether a pop-up or a tab is more appropriate, and so forth.
